Trying out my New Flip Camcorder!!!

So before Julian arrives in early Feb. there has been a small list of items that I wanted to get before we get to busy with the new baby and before I quit my job and move to one income. The first thing I wanted to get was a smaller point and shoot camera. That way I can be the crazy mom who takes pictures of every little thing that he does, but at least I can whip out the camera really quickly and will be easy to carry around in the diaper bag. So the other day we managed to get a really good deal on a Sony cyber shot camera and I am really happy about it. We over heard they were discounting the camera half price because they were discontining the color and Greg and I said sold!

The other item that I wanted to get before Julian is here is a small digital video camera. I really had not taken the time to look for one or figure out how much money I wanted to spend on one because I didn't really think I would be able to get one. But the other day I was reading a blog and they had a cute video of their little baby girl splashing around in the tub and the quality was good. The person who posted the blog posted that he was trying out his new flip digital camcorder and he posted a link to what the camcorder looked like. I clicked on the link to check it out and sure enough it was exactly what I was looking.

Overall the price was around $125.00 to $150.00. Not bad but I decided to look on craigs list just to see if by chance there was a used one for sale. My luck held for the day and there was a gentleman selling one for $50.00 dollars! Needless to say he still had it and I bought it for that most excellent price.

So in the video above I just did a fun one of Greg being a goofball. Also, you can see a picture of what the little flip camcorder looks like. Poor Julian he better be one photogenic child because he is going to have so many pictures and videos of him.
