So finally we have gotten our wind back and have started working on projects around the house again. The family room really took it out of us but it has really come along. We are hoping to hang all the molding hung this coming Saturday and finally that room will truly be done.
But this weekend we changed it up a bit and began work on our very "blue" guest bath! We have had a guest staying with us the last couple of weeks and I felt so bad that he was having to use those old fixtures. So he went home to visit his family for the week and we decided to take advantage and replace the sink and toilet. It was not easy but in the end Robert did a great job!
It is nice to see bright white fixtures in that little bathroom. Right now it is not a huge change because that wall paper is still up and really that is all you see when you walk in that space. So that is my goal for this week, take down all wall paper and paint!
Our guest comes back Sunday I think and I really want it to be nice and freshened up. Besides in a couple of weeks I am hosting my sisters baby shower and it would be really nice to have a pretty bathroom for everyone to use! Also, we are going to reverse the door swing so that it is not so tight to get into that bathroom! It feels so claustrophobic with the door swinging in. Lastly we are going to have the tub refinished to white and make a window sill to cover up the big chunk that is missing in the tile. So the blue tile will still be on the walls and the floor but I think it is going to look really good when it is all said and done.
