So even though I haven't seen my house in a number of days Greg and I have made some progress on it. We went ahead and had it painted. If you haven't noticed before it was a pretty ugly yellow and brown. To lighten it up we had it painted a light beachy blue. Yes for those of you who know me, it is the same color we painted the living room and dinging room. I like the color so sue me.
A number of people gave me grief over my color choice but I think it came out quite well! Once you look at it for a few minutes it doesn't appear to be as bright. The most important thing is several of the neighbors have made several favorable comments about the house and are glad to see the YELLOW GONE!
So now the question remains. What do you think of the current color of the door? We were not able to have it painted at the same time of the house because we didn't have time to sit around and literally wait for the paint to dry before we could lock it up. So I actually kind of like the yellow green door. Some people have told me I need to paint it white and others a contrasting red. What do you think?

Red supposedly has a superstition about it saying that you will be rich, however, i think that white would pull the place together and make it look uniform.
Hmmm I have to think about this. White of course is the all traditional. I of course love the red door, but I don't think it would go well with the blue. The current color isn't bad - it just isn't traditional, so people freak. What do YOU think?
