Greg and I made the decision that we are going to redo our 50's kitchen. Most people think we are crazy but in the long run I think it will pay off. The kitchen that we had to the average eye looked great. It showed well and all but when you really got in there and took a look around there was not a whole of of counter space and cabinet space available. Well we have taken care of that problem When i get the chance I will upload photos of what our kitchen will look like soon. We are in the process of picking out cabinets right now. So here are a few pics of Greg deconstructing the kitchen. Fabulous isn't it!

Now something really fun to report about our old kitchen. The original wall color was peach, the floor had peel and stick Gray,Black tile with with white flecking, the cabinets were originally painted Grey. Now wait for it....Our counter tops were the old gray counter with fleck of boomerang color. Just check out the picture below to get a better idea of what it looked like. When I get a better one I will post it for you to see.

This would have been a similar representation of what my counter tops looked like 50 years ago.

P.S. I just want you to know that we did not destroy our cabinets in the process of tearing up our kitchen. They were taken down carefully and will be reused somewhere else. Even the counter tops were saved, although I did pull up the current laminate to get a better look at the cool laminate below.

You guys are so ambitious. And let me tell you, it doesn't matter what everyone else's eye sees in your kitchen....it matters if you like it!
I can't wait until you put new pictures up......
Good luck!
